B Class Gunboat (Sidewheeler)

So the dockyard has been heating up and boats are being built a lot more quickly than before.  Here is a blog on the new B Class gunboat.  Again this boat is not a historical replica but a rendition of many of the boats you see in pictures of the Nile campaigns.

This boat will be included in the battle at Hurricon, "Full Speed to Metemmeh" which will be part of a three part campaign.  It should be fun.  This boat along with others will also be at the dealer table at Hurricon. Come on by and take a look.

I know these build blogs can be a little boring.  I do hope you find them interesting. A lot more pictures of them in action will be posted after the convention is done.

Keep checking in for more boat builds which should be coming off the line over the next week or so.

It is always a pleasure,

Last Stand Dan

She's a beauty, to be sure!!!

Dan, you are a one-man Admiralty industry -- supplying not only Her Majesty's Forces, but those of her foes as well!

Can't wait to see one of these new beauties up close in person...

I've only recently found your blog and although I have little interest in boats I am not bored at all. The techniques you carefully share are very useful and, who knows, I may end up making a river boat anyway :)

Dan I continue to follow your boat building with envious eyes what you have achieved is inspirational. Thank you so much for sharing your tips and advice . If I could achieve a model half as good looking as the ones you produce I would be very happy.

Danno, the builds are far from boring, actually very interesting. Your boats are truly impressive. I wish I had 1/100th of your skill.

I'm honored to have a class of gunboat named after me, thank you!!!! I look forward to commanding one of these steadfast B Class Gunboats in your upcoming Sudan games at Hurricon.

Cheers,
JB
