Family Ambush (TSATF)

So we had some family visiting from California and I promised them we would have a wargame. A few of them have never played before so I setup a nice Family Fight.  It was a simple scenario where a desert patrol was returning to a river extraction point. The two Dervish commanders were seasoned players and the British/Egyptian command had myself and my rookie gamers Niece and Nephew.

The premise was that the British Patrol have been hounded by the Dervish until this point. It got real quiet and they were close to the extraction point where a gunboat and marines were waiting.  After quickly going through the rules and offering some advice on how to deploy we began.

Did they finally get the Dervish off of their tail?  It never works out that way does it.  Anyway, here are the annotated pictures of the battle.

Great time with the family, can't wait to do it again soon.
